In a joint effort between various zoning authorities and the City of Peer, the intention is to develop a school campus on the Panhoven site, behind the existing college building, with a secondary school, a primary school, a sports complex and a boarding school with 70 rooms.

The buildings are grouped in a green park-like setting, where sports fields and other play opportunities have been created in an open atmosphere. These are publicly accessible so that they can also be put to good use after school hours.

Layout

The buildings are spread across the campus, but are conceived in a similar use of materials and execution method.
A similar construction and materialisation has been chosen for the various buildings, creating a self-evident unity.
Sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and low-maintenance materials are used.

The plinth of the buildings will be finished in light natural stone.
All garden walls and façades of bicycle sheds will also be finished in natural stone.
The superstructure of the schools and the boarding house are made of light brick.
The windows, with profiled panels between them, are aluminium.
The facade of the sports hall is of a light profiled aluminium panel.

The campus will be implemented in phases and includes 4 sub-projects:

New building for primary education of 4,105 m²: 3,620 m² of classrooms and subject rooms, refectory and technical area and 485 m² of sports hall.
New construction of a boarding school of 2,044 m².
New construction of a secondary school of 9,023 m² for classrooms and subject rooms.
New construction of a 3,249 m² sports hall: 55 m² of classrooms and subject classrooms, refectory and technical area and 3,194 m² of sports hall.
