Almut became an ir. architect at TUDelft in 2001. She worked as a project manager and sustainable building expert at AG Vespa. Between 2014 and 2024, she was sustainable building consultant at the Facilitair Bedrijf. Almut has been a BB'er since 2024, where she is part of Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort.

At Facilities Management, Almut was the driving force behind the development of sustainability meter GRO. This gave us (Jona and Katrien especially then) the chance to get to know Almut closer. In her above-average passion for sustainable construction, we recognise our own drive to make projects more future-proof and to actively guide the construction world towards a sustainable world. A match made in heaven, in other words.

Cuno behaalde een bachelor Toegepaste Architectuur aan de Thomas More Hogeschool in 2024. Na zijn stage bij ons Team Computer Aided Design besluit hij BB'er te worden en maakt hij sinds 2024 deel uit van Team Duurzaamheid, Energie & Comfort.

Emma became a civil engineer-architect at UGent in 2021. That same year, she became a BB member of Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort.

Emma rolled straight into BB from school. Bitten by the sustainability and circular building microbe, she immediately connected with our energy experts. They in turn didn't waste any time, immersing Emma in the wonderful world of GRO sustainability meter, EPB calculations and daylight and summer comfort studies. Brainstorming with her teammates on how to prevent discomfort in buildings through passive, low-tech solutions is "a day well spent" for her.

Jente became a bioengineer at KU Leuven in 2022. She added a postgraduate degree in Sustainable Development (Vives & HO West) in 2023. She has been a BB'er since 2023 and is part of Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort.

Jente keeps us awake with issues on climate and the transition to healthy cities and communities. With her green glasses, she offers our project teams an additional perspective on tomorrow's buildings and cities. She believes that wonder, teamwork and creativity are the ingredients for obtaining impactful solutions.s.

Jonah became an architect at Ghent University in 2012, majoring in architectural design and building technology. Since 2013, he has been entitled to call himself an EPB expert. Jona became part of the BB Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort in 2016.

Jona picked up the sustainable building microbe during his student days. A passionate sustainability consultant, he proclaims his beliefs to team members and building owners. Human- and environment-friendly construction, building maintenance and circular construction he preaches from the rooftops. Jonah coordinates research projects and makes it a point of honour to share the knowledge acquired. Because sharing is ... and everyone benefits from knowing how we can have more impact on building in the future.

Katrien became an ir. arch. at KU Leuven in 2016. For two years, she was a staff member of Agion's Knowledge and Consultancy Department. In 2019, she followed the postgraduate course Bio-ecological Building and Living out of interest. Since 2020, she has been part of Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort.

Katrien gets energy from advising, mentoring and guiding others through the sustainable building forest. Her day is successful when she has been able to inspire someone to go that extra mile in realising a sustainable building. If that requires a little push, she is not afraid to do so.

Martijn became a structural engineer at the Katholieke Hogeschool St-Lieven in 2002. He also obtained a postgraduate degree in Bio-ecological building there in 2011. He holds certificates including Green Building Solutions (2011) from Summer University Vienna and Daylight Engineering (2012) from Danube University of Krems.

Martijn is a lecturer at KAHO Sint-Lieven (postgraduate Bio-ecological Building), a practice assistant and thesis supervisor at Ghent University and gives training courses on bioclimatic architecture for VIBE and Hogeschool PXL.

Since 2002, Martijn has mainly been a BB'er as a member of Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort.

Martijn likes to put his colleagues on the right track. He does so by questioning trodden paths and initiating major behavioural changes with small interventions. If, by insisting on the importance of designing with daylight, he can have an impact on the end user's mental well-being, he is more than happy to do so. Martijn prefers to inspire his audience to dialogue, to challenge them to achieve a broader support base for better building in the future through shared experiences.

Robbe became a civil engineer-architect at UGent as well as a BB'er in 2014. He is a certified EPB advisor in Brussels. Robbe is part of Team Sustainability, Energy and Comfort.

Robbe likes to champion conservation. Of buildings, that is. In all other areas, he is particularly progressive and up-to-date. He loves advising design teams on the development of a sustainable, high-quality indoor climate. If he succeeds without too many technical installations, he is a satisfied man. Robbe likes to help think about tailor-made building physics solutions and rarely sends a colleague back from a wasted journey.

Thomas became a civil engineer-architect at UGent in 2022. Two years later in 2024, he became a BB'er as a member of Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort.

Our enthusiastic focus on sustainability and his enthusiasm about our corporate culture made him apply spontaneously. Thomas is very keen to learn more about developments in the field of sustainable building and renovation. He is keen to know more about materials recycling and the potential of bio-based materials.
