As a smart resource management strategy, circular construction includes valorising our current building stock. This research focuses on consultancy processes to facilitate high-quality recovery of building elements.
On behalf of OVAM, we investigated with Buildwise how Flemish authorities (and by extension all clients) could play an exemplary role as prescribers of TOTEM in construction projects.
By developing a Circular Building label, we are introducing the construction industry to the challenges and opportunities presented by the transition to a circular economy.
