In the run-up to the reconversion, Bureau Bouwtechniek was engaged by the commissioning consortium to scrutinise the feasibility of the intended interventions.
‘In doing so, our experts kept a strong common goal in mind: to redevelop as sustainably as possible,’ says general director Jan Moens. ‘Together with the client, architects and contractor, we strived to ensure that every square metre of the building makes a meaningful contribution to the comfort and well-being of its users. Consider, for example, the new HR façade glazing (12,000 m² in total), for which supplier AGC developed a new glass coating with a pronounced gold reflection based on our extensive study.’
