The Grand removes its scaffolding

The Grand is once again on display.

After years of intensive preparation, coordination and execution, the result is becoming visible step by step: a listed monument that is once again taking its place in the streetscape.

As the lead architect and site manager, we are part of the design team behind this complex restoration project. We translate the design into a technically feasible plan, monitor quality, budget and schedule, and ensure that all partners work together towards the same objectives. In this way, we create the framework within which design ambitions can be effectively realised.

The restoration of the façades required a thorough structural engineering approach: from the repair of faux-stone and concrete structures to the meticulous reconstruction of historic ornamentation. Thanks to the close collaboration between the various parties in the design and restoration team, The Grand is once again showing itself at its finest.
