Characteristic of the work of the young Bruges illustrator Arthur Devisscher are his overflowing, colourful drawings. They show imaginative scenes in which both animals and people parade. Both recognisable and alienating at the same time. Man and animal walk hand in hand. Often armed with sword or gun. Arthur's drawn world therefore shows little realism. He starts from an idea, a sentence or an image. The rest comes naturally. Intuitively. And gradually.
I am obsessed with details.
