Smaranda became an architect at La Cambre in Brussels in 2011. In 2016, she joined Coton Architectures in Brussels as a project manager. Since 2018, Smaranda has been a BB'er as a member of Team Architecture (French-speaking).

The Van Praet Bridge is known as a busy gateway to Brussels, but that is about to change. The ambition of city and master builder is to transform the neighbourhood into a sustainable and liveable one.
The new district in Brussels-City, borough of Neder-Over-Heembeek, will rise between Vilvoordsesteenweg and Heembeeksestraat and is part of a larger master plan for the area. The traffic axis Vuurkruisenlaan/Van Praetlaan will also be addressed.
