Astro 23 combines the renovation of two outdated office buildings with the construction of a new residential building, embedded in a dense urban environment.
Astro 23 aims to create a mixed-use complex comprising office space and a new residential building, with a strong emphasis on circulation, transparency and social interaction.
The design vision is based on respect for the existing building, combined with a tangible improvement in spatial quality, comfort, daylighting and energy efficiency.
The renovation of Astro23 is based on an integrated BIM model. The cross-section shows the interweaving of existing structures and new additions around a communal courtyard. This approach makes it possible to respect heritage values while creating high-performance, contemporary working and living environments.
