Julie became an ir. arch. at Ghent University in 2011. Since 2018, she may also add the Practical Introduction to Fire Safety Engineering course, both the basic course and the specialisation modules, from ie-net and CE-marking of fire-resistant interior joinery from Buildwise to her CV. Julie has been a BB'er since 2011 and is part of Team Architecture (French-speaking) and Team Fire.

Julie gets joy from constructive cooperation between all participants in the building process. Having an impact on that, she considers part of her mission. Just like cracking a technical problem.

After a pint with colleagues on Friday, Julie goes home satisfied. But of course also when, to the best of her knowledge and ability, she has put her customer on the road, (fire)safe and equipped with sufficient technical baggage. When she and the entire team have delivered a good result and can still get through the same door with all parties, she sleeps like a log.

Smaranda became an architect at La Cambre in Brussels in 2011. In 2016, she joined Coton Architectures in Brussels as a project manager. Since 2018, Smaranda has been a BB'er as a member of Team Architecture (French-speaking).

llse became an architect at St-Lucas Brussels in 2003. She has been a BB'er since 2006. She is part of Team Architecture (French-speaking).

Francesca became an architect at the University of Edinburgh in 2005. That same year, she started at BB as a member of Team Architecture (French-speaking).

Being surrounded by people who work together in a constructive atmosphere energises Francesca. Contributing to a good relationship in a project team is high on her to-do list. Followed closely by having a positive impact on the projects she leads. Fascinating projects where she has been able to put a piece of the puzzle together herself make her day.

Robbe became a civil engineer-architect at UGent as well as a BB'er in 2014. He is a certified EPB advisor in Brussels. Robbe is part of Team Sustainability, Energy and Comfort.

Robbe likes to champion conservation. Of buildings, that is. In all other areas, he is particularly progressive and up-to-date. He loves advising design teams on the development of a sustainable, high-quality indoor climate. If he succeeds without too many technical installations, he is a satisfied man. Robbe likes to help think about tailor-made building physics solutions and rarely sends a colleague back from a wasted journey.

Martijn became a structural engineer at the Katholieke Hogeschool St-Lieven in 2002. He also obtained a postgraduate degree in Bio-ecological building there in 2011. He holds certificates including Green Building Solutions (2011) from Summer University Vienna and Daylight Engineering (2012) from Danube University of Krems.

Martijn is a lecturer at KAHO Sint-Lieven (postgraduate Bio-ecological Building), a practice assistant and thesis supervisor at Ghent University and gives training courses on bioclimatic architecture for VIBE and Hogeschool PXL.

Since 2002, Martijn has mainly been a BB'er as a member of Team Sustainability, Energy & Comfort.

Martijn likes to put his colleagues on the right track. He does so by questioning trodden paths and initiating major behavioural changes with small interventions. If, by insisting on the importance of designing with daylight, he can have an impact on the end user's mental well-being, he is more than happy to do so. Martijn prefers to inspire his audience to dialogue, to challenge them to achieve a broader support base for better building in the future through shared experiences.

Tiny became an architect at Sint-Lucas Ghent in 2013. In 2016, she obtained a postgraduate degree in Bio-Ecological Building and Living at KU Leuven. Immediately after graduating, she joined Abscis Architects in Ghent. Tiny has been part of Team Computer Aided Design & BIM since 2018.

Tiny does everything she can to ensure that her work and that of her colleagues is more pleasant and smooth so that we can ultimately offer a well-informed and well-kept file to our partners. She loves learning new things from others and gets intense work happiness from seeing others grow in their work.

Katie became an interior designer at HAIR in Antwerp in 1996. She became a BB'er in 1997 where she is part of the Computer Aided Design & BIM team.

Raf became an architect at Sint-Lucas in 1995. In 2012, Raf became a BB'er. During his tenure as BB'er, he emerged as façade consultant and building detail expert and, together with some colleagues, founded Team Knowledge Innovation & Technology, the technical conscience of BB. Raf is also practice assistant Architectural Design and Building Detail at UGent and sits on several committees of Buildwise.

Raf thrives best when he can work with enthusiastic and sympathetic professionals, both inside and outside Bureau Bouwtechniek. His heart beats faster with technical challenges that contribute to a more sustainable future, more robust constructions and a better quality of life. He believes in reassessing existing structures and always looks for the best solutions for the most relevant criteria. He goes completely loco when his advice has given a colleague or client an aha moment.
