On Tuesday 2 June, Bureau Bouwtechniek is organising the training course “Van Nature”: an evening event focusing on bio-based and nature-inclusive construction, aimed at architects, clients and project developers who wish to go beyond the basics.

From ambition to implementation

Bio-based and nature-inclusive construction are now familiar concepts. But how do you translate them into feasible projects, well-founded decisions and a robust business model? This course takes a practical approach, drawing on real-world case studies, strategic insights and technical considerations that can be put into practice straight away.

The evening is structured around two parallel themes – bio-based and nature-inclusive – each of which explores implementation, scalability and added value in greater depth.

What will you take away from this course?

During this course, you will gain insight into:

  • The economic rationale behind bio-based construction: how new business models are taking shape and what impact this has on design and development
  • Practical experience with bio-based mid-rise buildings, including a focus on material selection, cost-effectiveness and feasibility
  • Scaling up bio-based solutions: how research and databases contribute to broader market application
  • Permitability and policy frameworks within nature-inclusive construction
  • The integration of nature into the building envelope, with a focus on risks, technical challenges and smart design choices
  • The value creation of nature in property projects: from social added value to economic translation

The combination of in-depth knowledge and practical experience means that you will not only understand why these topics are important, but above all how to put them into practice.
