GRO 2025 online

We are proud to announce the launch of the first joint version of GRO for Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels! GRO is the Belgian sustainability tool for future-oriented buildings. This tool, which builds on the successful Flemish version, helps integrate sustainability into building projects, from concept to realisation. Whether it is a school, an apartment building, an office or a cultural institution, new construction or renovation-GRO is widely applicable and supports projects in all phases.

What is new in this version?

• Harmonisation and alignment of criteria across the three regions.
• Introduction of three LEVELS: Analysis, Concept, Design. This ensures the right approach and depth at the right time.
• Instead of the former People, Planet and Profit classification, eight themes are now used, with Circular Construction and Climate responsive design as newcomers.

The focus is still on flexibility and practicality so that users can tailor GRO to their specific needs.

Collaboration

GRO 2025 came about thanks to the collaboration of The Facility Management Company, Service Public de Wallonie and Bruxelles Environnement and substantive support from experts, architects and building professionals from all over the country.

Together with Archipelago Architetcen, we were once again given the confidence to take on the coordination of the GRO support tasks.
