Project Support I Collaboration
Renovation and expansion of the former National Bank building into a 'Porte des Arts': a cinema complex with 4 theatres, a brasserie and an art centre. Phenix 5 is a part of the Phenix project for the revaluation of downtown Charleroi and is realized with European subsidies.
According to the wishes of the architect, the complex gets an expanded metal façade finish without an underlying framework. To achieve this effect, Bureau Bouwtechniek investigated:
- several systems to punctually mount the façade
- the different characteristics of the material, such as mesh size, size and thickness.
art centre and brasserie
BB studied the possibilities to recycle the marble parts of the original bank building in the new project.
In collaboration with Daidalos, BB worked out several financial scenarios to promote the E-level of the old building whilst taking into account the client´s available budget.
Bureau Bouwtechniek is responsible for the complete construction-technical support of architect firm l'Escaut - V+ from the tendering phase. BB is responsible for technical assistance during the design process, the layout of the implementation plans, the development of technical details, the blueprint of constructional specifications and estimates. BB leads the monitoring of the implementation.
