Project Support I Collaboration

Construction of a new school campus for VTI Bruges.

The school building has 4 floors and contains studios, classrooms, a refectory, sports hall and boarding school.

Adaptive building
Based on uncertainties about possible future growth and changes in the program, the campus was conceived as an adaptive building, a building that can adapt itself according to demand and need.

Challenges

  • The VTI is the third largest school building in Flanders.
  • The technical school is equipped with fully equipped workshops for the technical departments of car mechanics, stage techniques, electricity, mechanics, electromechanics and industrial sciences.

Bureau Bouwtechniek
BB was responsible for drawing up the specifications and monitoring the site.
