Dame Zaha Hadid (1950 - 2016)

Bureau Bouwtechniek expresses his condolences on the sudden passing of Dame Zaha Hadid.

Our thoughts go out to the family, friends and colleagues. We wish them the strenght to cope with this loss and the agency the force to continue working.

Our paths crossed for the first time in 2008 when we submitted together as design team for the competition for a new Port House for the Port of Antwerp. A collaboration which we look back on with great satisfaction and pride. Since our first meeting we worked together on a sketch design for the station area of Knokke-Heist, we delivered a final design for The Sanctuary, a family residence in Uccle, and we are working together on an extension in historical settings in Chimay.

Bureau Bouwtechniek will, toghether with the collaborator make every effort to finish the Port House as Dame Zaha Hadid had in mind.
