BB presents paper at International Conference on Building Physics

The 6th International Building Physics Conference (IBPC 2015) will be focussing on the theme "Building Physics for a Sustainable Built Environment"

IBPC 2015 is the official conference of the International Association of Building Physics (IABP) and was first held in 2000 in Eindhoven (the Netherlands).

Following the success of earlier events in the series, IBPC 2015 will take place in the lively city of Torino, hosted by Politecnico di Torino and co-organized by ATI Piemonte and the Department of Energy - Politecnico di Torino.

BB was selected with his paper Façade retrofit strategies. Case study of the building complex K12 of the university hospital Ghent.

Due to the thoroughness of the analysis and the elaborated facade renovation strategies this feasibility study is a reliable instrument for a future façade renovation. Based on this instrument, the client or a design team is able to evaluate what façade renovation scenario is appropriate for further development.

Joni Staljanssens and Stéphanie Mangé will represent BB in Turin. The paper has also been selcetd for the NZEB Symposium Passive and Beyond.

With this decision instrument simple renovation scenarios can be efficiently compared to technically complex scenarios "(Joni Staljanssens)
