Cost management
The costs and risks associated with façade design are approached from several angles:
- construction cost
- failure-risk analysis
- maintenance costs
- and LCC (Life Cycle Cost) are taken into account to determine choices.
The cost evolution is monitored throughout the process, with the construction cost approach being refined at each new stage.
Using calculation tools and the BIM model, facades are optimized and the most appropriate construction methods, elements and components are sought.
The cost analysis of the direct building cost can be supplemented with a projection of the expected maintenance cost of the façade.
The results of these analyses are checked with the other disciplines in order to arrive at an integral and coherent façade design that fits within the proposed cost structure.
